REDSTONE TOWNSHIP, Pa. — State police are investigating a deadly stabbing in Fayette County.
A man was stabbed just before midnight Wednesday outside a home on Hilltop Avenue in Redstone Township.
The victim was identified as 24-year-old Shawn Hriscisce.
State police said another person was taken to Uniontown Hospital for a stab wound to the arm. They were released and are cooperating with the investigation.
According to the criminal complaint, a man named Sylvester Conaway arrived at the house and got into an altercation with the people inside. He stabbed both people before leaving the scene.
The complaint said Conaway talked with a friend in the car on the way to the house and said he was going to stab the victims.
Conaway later admitted to police that he stabbed the victims with a knife while being forced out of the house, the complaint said. He also admitted to throwing the knife out of the window of a car while fleeing the scene.
Conaway is charged with criminal homicide, aggravated assault and tampering with or fabricating physical evidence.
