A Mohawk School District employee is under investigation after three underage students made allegations against the staff member for invasion of privacy.

The staff member is a man, and state police said three girls accused him of an invasion of privacy.

Community members are shocked.

“Anybody that does things like that should be investigated, period,” said Nicholas.

“It’s really concerning. He is in a position to lead a good direction and he’s taking advantage of that,” said Kamryn Sampson.

The alleged incident happened last Friday just after 3 p.m. at the Mohawk Junior Senior High School.

“I think that just puts young women in an impressionable position, especially in school. They are already in a vulnerable state already,” said Arielle Dietz.

The school district wouldn’t comment except to say the matter the subject of an ongoing personnel investigation.

“That’s seriously concerning — teachers are supposed to be trusted,” said Anthony Conti.

The district also said the investigation is still in the early stages and it is not disclosing the employee’s name, job title or status.

As state police investigate, many community members have questions and concerns.

“He’s exploiting the vulnerable so he should pay a price,” said Nicholas.

“Making sure he’s held accountable and taken out of a position of power so he can’t do that anymore,” said Sampson.
