PITTSBURGH — A Steelers coach is on the list of people the New York Jets front office wants to speak with about their vacant head coaching job, according to reports.
Ian Rapoport, of the NFL Network, says the Jets have requested to interview Steelers Offensive Coordinator Arthur Smith.

Another NFL Insider, Tom Pelissero, adds that Smith has spoken with the Jets before. Four years ago he had an interview with the team before landing in Atlanta.

Smith is one of several people the Jets want to speak with. According to Rapoport, Bills Offensive Coordinator Joe Brady and Texans Offensive Coordinator Bobby Slowik are also possible candidates.
This is Smith’s first year as the Steeler’s OC.
