Be weather-ready today.

A strong cold front will bring an end to our very warm and muggy stretch, but it will come with the potential for severe thunderstorms late this afternoon and tonight.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch has been issued for most of our area until 10 p.m.

Storms will break out along the I-80 corridor late this afternoon and drift southeast through the evening hours as additional storms form along the front. The strongest storms will be capable of damaging wind, large hail and localized flooding.

Watch for quickly changing conditions and be ready for the storms with the Severe Weather Team 11 App. You get watches and warnings sent straight to you for your area only, and the lightning alerts will let you know when to head inside. Download it for free HERE---> on.wpxi.com/app
