Study: Energy drinks, ADHD in children possibly linked

PITTSBURGH — A new study has found a possible link between energy drinks and ADHD in children.

Yale researchers surveyed over 1,500 middle school students. They found kids who drank highly-sweetened and caffeinated beverages were 66 percent more likely to have symptoms of hyperactivity and inattention.

The study does not, however, prove the drinks cause the problems.
