PITTSBURGH — Clear and turning chilly this evening, temperatures will tumble to the low 30s and upper 20s tonight.
A frosty start Monday morning, make sure to layer up before heading out the door. Dry conditions are expected through the evening, making a good time to finish up outdoor work or grocery shopping ahead of Thanksgiving. Clouds will increase through the day ahead of the system that will move in on Tuesday. Highs on Monday will reach near 50 degrees.
Winds pick up late Monday night ahead of the next system. Wind gusts could reach over 35 mph in the ridges of Fayette and Westmorland counties, Indiana county along with mountains from late Monday night through Tuesday. A steady chilly rain will develop Tuesday morning with a chance of freezing rain in the mountains during the first half of the day. Rain and winds will impact travel on Tuesday, watch for ponding on roads and reduced visibility. Icy conditions could impact travel in the mountains, watch for updates on the forecast.
Lingering showers and a bit of a breeze are expected on Wednesday, temperatures will fall gradually through the day. This system will clear in time for Thanksgiving Day. Turkey Day looks bright with a cold start, but temperatures will reach near 50 degrees in the afternoon with a mix of clouds and sunshine.
