PITTSBURGH — Dry and mild this evening with temperatures in the 40s and falling to the upper 30s by late evening. Tonight will be colder with lows falling at or just below freezing.

Monday will start bright with increasing clouds in the afternoon, highs will reach the upper 40s near 50 degrees. The next system will be a fast-moving system that will bring rain to the area starting Monday evening which will mix and change to snow before ending early Tuesday morning. Rain showers will begin to develop Monday evening after dinnertime. Rain will fill in across the area mid to late evening with steady rain at times especially south and east of Pittsburgh. Rain will mix with snow overnight changing to snow before ending early Tuesday morning. The chance of accumulating snow is higher east and northeast of Pittsburgh especially in portions of Westmoreland County, Indiana and Armstrong Counties.

Some lighter accumulation is possible around the Pittsburgh area but impacts look minor right now. The timing and track could change so make sure to check in often ahead of this next system as the storm gets closer to our area.
