Carnegie police arrested two people they say were stealing items from unlocked cars.

Officers were called to the area of Wagner Street and Lexington Court early Tuesday morning after a caller said three men were stealing from unlocked cars.

Police spotted Chandler Cosentino along Campbells Run Road, who they say took off running when he saw police. Officers found several stolen items in his path, spotting him and Rocci Cosentino between houses on Railroad Avenue.

They arrested the two, finding money, heroin, and suspected Xanax in Chandler’s possession, according to the complaint.

Anyone whose car was ransacked is asked to call the department.
