PENN HILLS, Pa. — An SUV burst into flames after crashing into a building in Penn Hills overnight.
The crash happened at the intersection of Verona Road and Mount Carmel Road around 2 a.m., according to Penn Hills No. 7 VFC.
The SUV crashed into the building, putting a hole in the wall, then caught fire.
Officials say flames were still coming from the SUV when first responders got on scene.
Some firefighters quickly put out the SUV fire, and others made their way into the building to confirm the fire hadn’t spread inside. Firefighters found smoke within the building, but no fire.
Allegheny County 911 dispatch officials say no one was hurt in this incident.
