SWAT responds to incident in Pittsburgh’s Knoxville neighborhood

PITTSBURGH — A man armed with a knife prompted a call for Pittsburgh SWAT Tuesday evening in Knoxville.

Police responded to a domestic dispute at a residence in the 200 block of Zara Street shortly after 7 p.m.

A person who called 911 told officers a man was inside the home with a knife.

Police said the man, who had barricaded himself on the top floor, surrendered about an hour later.

One officer was evaluated for a wrist injury suffered during the incident.
