PITTSBURGH — Dress in layers this week as morning lows dip into the 30s and 40s and afternoon highs bounce back into the 60s. Have the sunglasses with you too, with mainly sunny skies sticking around through the start of the weekend.

Temperatures Thursday will be below normal during the day and that could lead to the possibility of patchy frost for parts of the area early Friday morning, especially in some areas. Frost will be most likely north and east of Pittsburgh and in sheltered valleys. Frost advisories could be issued by the National Weather Service in Pittsburgh, so stay with Severe Weather Team 11 for the latest live updates.

Hurricane Milton will also make weather headlines Wednesday, with hours of soaking rain and wind lashing the west coast of Florida, well out ahead of the expected landfall late Wednesday night or early Thursday morning. Right now, the core of the storm is expected to make landfall somewhere near or south of Tampa, but locations from Cedar Key south to Fort Myers are also at risk.
