Thomas Town to leave Kennywood Park, be replaced by new area in 2025

Kennywood Park is replacing Thomas Town with a new area in 2025.

WEST MIFFLIN, Pa. — Kennywood Park is replacing Thomas Town with a new area in 2025.

A spokesperson from the amusement park said Thomas Town would be replaced with another thematic area.

“We are thankful for the collaboration with the Thomas & Friends™ brand and Mattel and looking forward to future opportunities for collaboration,” spokesperson Lynsey Winters said.

The new area will include five rides appropriate for families and young kids.

Thomas Town opened at Kennywood Park in 2018.
