Authorities said surveillance video showed a man wearing a black top hat and a bandana, and a second man taking the cash box from the register.

The business owner’s son spotted Wells wearing the top hat and bandana later that evening.

Police said Boggs, Wells’ roommate, admitted that the two worked together, leading to their arrests.
