SOUTH BEAVER, Pa. (AP) — State police have issued two traffic citations to a trucker whose rig collided with a police cruiser, killing a western Pennsylvania state trooper, but said they will not criminally charge the Mount Pleasant man in the officer's death.
Gregory Golkosky, 48, was cited Thursday for careless driving and allegedly running a stop sign before his truck collided with a cruiser driven on patrol by 47-year-old Trooper Blake Coble on Oct. 4. Coble died in the crash in South Beaver Township.
Coble was stationed with Troop D in Beaver where his wife was a dispatcher. The couple had two children.
