WASHINGTON COUNTY, Pa. — A vigil will be held Tuesday evening in honor of a man who was shot and killed while trying to stop a bank robber.
The murder of Vincent Kelley remains unsolved, two years after his death. Kelly was killed trying to stop the robber at the Giant Eagle in South Strabane Township on June 16, 2013.

“The Kelley family hasn’t slept in two years,” said Kelley’s daughter, Sierra Kelley. “I don’t have any answers yet. I’m still as clueless as I was the day this happened.”
Vincent Kelley’s cold case caught the attention of the FBI who said the suspect got away in a white car that likely had red dye in it from a dye pack. However, two full years later, there have still been no leads.
“What kills me is I know somebody knows something,” said Sierra Kelley.
Vincent Kelley’s family created a memorial for him steps from where he died outside the Giant Eagle. His family said their only comfort is believing Vincent Kelley saved lives the day of his death.
“I feel like what my dad did scared (the suspect) out of the building. Who knows what would have happened if he didn’t do that, maybe a whole bunch of other lives would be gone today,” said Sierra Kelley.
There is a $50,000 reward for information leading to an arrest and conviction in the case.
The vigil will be held at 7 p.m. outside the grocery store.
