Scattered showers Saturday evening, rain gets heavy on Sunday

PITTSBURGH — Keep the umbrella handy over the next few days, rain is back in the forecast and it’s going to stick around. Scattered showers this evening with a mist and fog in spots tonight.

A steadier rain is expected Sunday morning with scattered showers in the afternoon and evening at times. Rainfall could be heavy at times Sunday morning, watch for reduced visibility when driving and ponding on the road. Leaves can be slippery, make sure to have extra distance between you and the vehicle in front of you and allow for extra stopping room. Highs on Sunday will be in the mid to upper 50s near average for this time of year.

A chilly rain will greet you at the door Monday morning, highs will only make it near 50 degrees in the afternoon. Temperatures will continue to turn colder and only make it to the 40s from Halloween through Thursday and overnight lows will drop to the freezing mark and below through Friday morning.
