Family members say, Jeremi Sensky, of Canonsburg, was taken to a hospital after the attack.

His daughter, Heaven Sensky Kirsch, said both of his legs were broken. He is undergoing surgery.

“He’s alive. We can’t believe he’s alive,” Heaven Sensky Kirsch, said.

Kirsch said Jeremi is paralyzed and uses a wheelchair. He was on his way back to his hotel after having pizza with his friends.

“My dad is resilient. He always has been a fighter and we hope he continues to do that,” Kirsch said.

The family is working on getting the wheelchair he uses to travel in safely returned.

A GoFundMe campaign has been set up to support Jeremi. Click here to donate.
