WASHINGTON COUNTY, Pa. — Officials in Washington County say they’re not giving up on the investigation into a double shooting that killed a teenage girl over the weekend.
“We are not resting. We are going to keep on investigating this 24/7,” Washington County District Attorney Jason Walsh told Channel 11 about he murder of Annalaya Wilkerson, 18.
She was found shot to death on a rural road in South Franklin Township. Her 17-year-old friend had also been shot and is recovering in the hospital.

“The victims are so young, and obviously that’s a tragedy, and it’s sad. We’re dealing with very young females here. It’s unusual,” Walsh said.
We asked Walsh why the two girls were on the desolate road, and if they have any suspects, or persons of interest in the case.
He would not answer those questions — for fear that it would harm the investigation.
“All I can say is there are not going to be any stones left unturned by the investigative agency, by PSP or my office, as part of this investigation,” he added.
Investigators are also being tight-lipped surrounding the circumstances of the case but did say that they are looking at surveillance video throughout the county.
Walsh told us he understands why parents are concerned about the recent violence.
“Everybody should always be concerned and be cautious. I have children myself, and I understand that. But I want to reassure Washington County residents that everything that can be done is being done to resolve this investigation,” he said.
