WEST DEER TOWNSHIP, Pa. — Residents at the Innwood Trailer Court in West Deer Township met with police Wednesday night after a recent spike in crime in the area.
"I feel like I'm just living in fear,” said Katie Sirianni.
Sirianni and her friend, Stephanie Lipford, are neighbors at the Innwood Trailer Court.
"My husband travels, and when he's gone, it's just me and my son. And I'm just really scared. I shouldn't have to explain to him what happened last week. He's 7,” said Lipford.
The women shared photos of bullet holes that were fired into a trailer next door with Channel 11.
"I thought I was moving into a safe community," said Sirianni.
Police said there was also an assault and several other calls last week all stemming from a few tenants.
Sirianni and Lipford demanded action from the township supervisors Wednesday night.
All of these residents at the meeting said they’re unhappy with what they say is a lack of response by the landlord.
They want the township to force the landlord's hand.
The police chief said his office is aware of the situation and is working to make sure the landlord resolves it.
For these families, the resolution can’t come soon enough.
"At this point, none of us feel safe,” said Sirianni.
