West Liberty Avenue in Beechview reopens hours after crash brings down pole and wires

BEECHVIEW, Pa. — West Liberty Avenue in Beechview has reopened, hours after a crash brought down a pole and wires.

The crash happened around 1:00 p.m. Friday in the 1900 block of West Liberty Avenue. There were no injuries reported.

West Liberty is closed between Cape May and Capital Avenue, according to Allegheny County officials.

As of 3:50 p.m., Duquesne Light’s website says that power has been restored to customers without power due to the crash.
