WEST VIEW, Pa. — Police in West View continue to investigate a series of car break-ins and have new surveillance video of the person they believe is responsible.
Authorities said the surveillance video shows a man wearing a camouflage shirt and blue jeans enter a 7-11 in West View on July 17 and use a stolen credit card.
According to police, the man also stopped at a Sunoco in Ross Township and the Wal-Mart in Cranberry Township.
"For the most part, West View is a very safe neighborhood. I’ve lived here for five years, I really enjoy living here, and I have only heard of a couple of isolated incidents and break-ins," said Matt Bocian of West View.
Police said the easiest way to deter some of these crimes is to simply lock car doors.
Anyone who recognizes the man in the surveillance video is asked to call West View police at 412-931-2800.
