WESTMORELAND COUNTY — Initial calls for a roof collapse on a home in Westmoreland County turned out to be debris from a building under construction.
Police and EMS were called to a home at 326 Longfellow Street, in Vandergrift just before 2 p.m. for a report of a collapse.
Upon further investigation, emergency officials say a crew was working on demolishing the house and left for the day.
A piece of debris fell and someone called 911 to say the building collapsed.
Crews are evaluating the integrity of the structure to see if the rest needs brought down now.
