NORTH HUNTINGDON, Pa. — North Huntingdon officials have shut down a local Halloween attraction.
The couple behind it told our news partners at TribLIVE.com they plan to plead their case at the township’s board meeting on Thursday.
The attraction violates a zoning ordinance, township officials say, so the Springwood Manor Home Haunt was shut down this past Thursday.
It can’t operate because it’s in a residential neighborhood, township leaders told our news partners at TribLIVE.com.
In order for it to run, the couple would have to be granted a variance, but that couldn’t be scheduled until November.
The couple told our news partners at TribLIVE.com they’ve invested close to $10,000. They’re hoping to be able to operate for at least the last two weekends of the month.
