WILKINS TOWNSHIP, Pa. — A Popeyes in Wilkins Township was forced to close following a recent inspection.
The Allegheny County Health Department says nine violations were found at the chain’s location at 3420 William Penn Highway during an inspection on Jan. 23.
Most of the issues, according to the inspection report, have to do with the building’s water.
The report states water is leaking from multiple places in the building, including in equipment and food supply storage areas. There was also reportedly wastewater on food contact surfaces and equipment, no or little water at handwashing sinks and an inadequate hot water supply.
