The 54-year-old was reportedly driving her car along Kenmont Avenue on the morning of Wednesday, January 11th when she hit Isaac Vanwasshenova, who was working for Waste Management.

Vanwasshenova was collecting the garbage cans after 9:30 a.m. when authorities say Moore hit the garbage collector with her car. The impact knocked him to the ground – leaving him with serious head trauma and bleeding.

Through witnesses, crash reconstruction as well as video footage, police were able to trace Moore to the accident.

She now faces several charges for her involvement in the crimes. Mount Lebanon’s police chief explains why charges are just being filed now.

Chief Jason Haberman with the Mount Lebanon Police Department said, “These types of cases it does take awhile. Really for us to do what we have to do sometimes the process is lengthy. We know that there are a number of things we have to do from a legal perspective whether it’s a search warrant, whether it’s subpoena we have to obtain to legally get the information we need to point to charges.”

Mount Lebanon Police have made arrangements for Moore to turn herself in. The victim - is still recovering. His fiancé says he has permanent brain damage, about 10% hearing in his right ear and has also lost the ability to smell. His attorney told me today he has no comment.
