Woman, man dead after apparent murder-suicide in Penn Hills

PENN HILLS, Pa. — A woman and a man who were killed in what police are treating as a murder-suicide in Penn Hills on Tuesday have been identified.

Rosemary Washington, 62, and Thomas Washington Sr., 63, were found in a home in the 100 block of Conestoga Road, according to the Allegheny County Medical Examiner.

According to a news release, Penn Hills police were called to the home for a welfare check.

Once on scene, first responders found the woman and man dead from gunshot wounds, according to police.

The Allegheny County Medical Examiner’s office has not released the cause or manner of death.
