Woman in stable condition after showing up at Pittsburgh hospital with gunshot wounds to the leg

PITTSBURGH — Pittsburgh police are investigating after a woman showed up at a hospital with gunshot injuries.

Police say around 6:30 p.m. officers dispatched to the 2500 block of Maple Avenue for a seven-round ShotSpotter notification.

Soon after, a woman showed up at the hospital with multiple gunshot wounds to her leg. She is in stable condition.

Police say a “possible crime scene” was found on a walkway from Perrysville Avenue toward Maple Avenue.

Mobile Crime Scene and Violent Crime Unit detectives are investigating.
