PITTSBURGH — A woman was struck and killed by a dump truck in Pittsburgh’s Hazelwood neighborhood on Wednesday afternoon.
According to Pittsburgh police, emergency crews responded to the 5000 block of Second Avenue.
Once on scene, first responders found a woman who had been struck by a dump truck while crossing the road. She was pronounced deceased at the scene.
On Thursday, the Allegheny County Medical Examiner’s Office identified the victim as Cynthia E Haskell, 73, of Pittsburgh.
According to police, the driver of the truck stayed on scene. The investigation is ongoing.
