MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — On-campus operations for the West Virginia University Morgantown Campus will begin at noon Tuesday due to inclement weather.
“Our focus is on the safety of members of the University community,” University Police Chief Sherry St. Clair said. “This delay for on-campus operations will allow more time for University, local, county and state officials to make progress on clearing area roadways, sidewalks and other areas of snow and ice.”
Those who have essential on-campus assignments should use good judgment when traveling in inclement weather, university officials said.
Employees who work remotely or in a hybrid capacity should plan to work their normal schedule. University employees are instructed to work with their supervisors on the details of their specific work assignments due to the delay.
Even after on-campus operations resume, some specific sites may remain closed or operate with reduced hours. Employees, students and visitors should call ahead before venturing out to ensure locations and services are open as conditions may change or services may be limited, officials said.
Spring semester classes begin Jan. 13.
