Man accused of robbing Crafton bank caught outside another bank with box cutter

CRAFTON — A man accused of robbing a Crafton bank was arrested outside another bank Thursday.

Working off a tip, sheriff's deputies went to the home of Cleo Kevin McLee, 32, in McKees Rocks. When they arrived, they witnessed him leaving the home with makeup on his neck, concealing a prominent tattoo.

Investigators followed McLee to the First Niagara Bank on Murray Avenue in Squirrel Hill Thursday afternoon. As he was entering the bank, they stopped and detained him.

On him, they said they found a handwritten robbery note seeking $50 and $100 bills and a box cutter knife.

McLee is charged with robbery, terroristic threats and receiving stolen property for the robbery at the Dollar Bank in the Crafton/Ingram Shopping Center.

The Allegheny County Sheriff's Office said he will also face charges for the incident outside the Squirrel Hill bank.
