ST. LOUIS — A man who had trouble reaching for his food at a Jack in the Box drive-thru window was killed Wednesday night after he was pinned by his car, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reported.
Charles Wood Jr., 20, was pronounced dead at a hospital, police said.
According to police, Wood pulled up to the drive-thru window at an angle just after 10 p.m. While trying to reach his food, Wood opened his door and leaned out of the vehicle, the Post-Dispatch reported.
Wood’s car was somehow thrown into reverse and backed into a tree, pinning the man against it, police said.
Wood suffered serious injuries to his head, neck, legs and torso, police said.
