LOS ANGELES — Firefighters rushed to an elementary school just east of LAX where students reported skin irritation after an apparent fuel dump from a plane on approach to the airport, according to KNBC.
Roughly 20 students at the Park Avenue Elementary School complained of skin irritation after the fuel dump, according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
UPDATE*** 17 children and 6 adults (23 patients total) all complaining of minor injuries being triaged by LACoFD Paramedics and Firefighters.

Delta released a statement to WSB-TV in Atlanta, saying:
“Shortly after takeoff, Flight 89 from LAX to Shanghai experienced an engine issue requiring the aircraft to return to LAX. The aircraft landed safely after an emergency fuel release to reduce landing weight."
