PITTSBURGH,None — A 19-year-old man died in a shooting in Pittsburgh's Hill District on Wednesday, according to police.
The shooting happened shortly after 1:30 p.m. at the intersection of LaPlace Street and Centre Avenue.
Officers found Stephon Green, of the Oak Hill area, lying in the street with multiple gunshot wounds.
Investigators said witnesses reported seeing a forest green-colored Nissan Armada with tinted windows speeding from the scene.
No arrests have been made.
Weil Elementary School, located about a block from the crime scene, was placed on lockdown.
The Rev. Glenn Grayson said he stopped by the scene to help comfort and pray with people nearby.
"Another young man is dead. It's just got to stop. We don't know all the answers. We got to find a way to get there," Grayson said.
