PITTSBURGH — Pittsburgh police are investigating a shooting that happened on Monday outside of the Taco Bell on Freeport Road in the Waterworks Mall.
Police say they found a 17-year-old boy with what is believed to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the back of his calf.
"The investigation very well may determine its' not," said Pittsburgh Police spokeswoman Sonya Toler.
The victim has been taken to Children’s Hospital where he is currently in stable condition, according to police.

"We believe that he was with possibly one other person who's still here on the scene," Tolder said.
Police reviewed surveillance footage and talked with people inside the restaurant as they worked to determine what exactly happened.
Pittsburgh Police told Channel 11 the gun involved in this incident has not been found.
The Taco Bell was closed down during the investigation.
