The man was walking with a 5-year-old child, according to police, when a white four door sedan approached the pair. A man wearing a beanie with short dreadlocks got out of the car and started shooting at the victim. Roughly 10 shots were fired, police determined.
Channel 11′s crew at the scene could see several shell casings littering the street as police marked them out with evidence tags.
The child was taken to the hospital as well for an injury sustained as Hall was trying to pull him out of the way of the gunfire. Two people nearby helped the child until medics got there.
Anyone with information is asked to call police at 1-833-255-8477.
