PITTSBURGH — A man tried to rob a woman last night in Oakland, chasing her on a bike while she ran on Fifth Avenue, according to police.
Pitt Police said they were called shortly after 9 p.m. to Fifth Avenue in the block near Three D’s Tobacco Shop and SciVelo. They found a woman who said she was walking when a man grabbed her shoulder from behind, causing her bag and coat to fall. She said she then ran with the man chasing her on a bicycle before he turned down Forbes Avenue.

Police said the suspect was described as:
- 5 feet, 7 inches tall
- medium build
- wearing a hooded sweatshirt, black face mask, dark blue jeans, black tossle cap with gold rim, tan boots
- was riding a black bicycle with a red blinking light
