PITTSBURGH — Police in Carrick are looking for two people involved with the robbery of a local Burger King location.
According to police, the two robbers wore hoodies and surgical masks when they broke into the restaurant around 6 a.m. on Monday.
Police said two males forced employees into an office and held the manager at gunpoint, ordering him to open the safe.
“It’s a shock on Brownsville Road with all of the traffic here,” said Dennis Naser, a regular customer.
Naser and other customers knew something was wrong when they noticed a sign on the door that said the location was temporarily closed.
“I’m glad no one was hurt,” customer John Hanna said. “They are really nice people here.”
The suspects managed to get away from the scene with an undetermined amount of money. The location was closed because it had no cash on hand to do business.
The restaurant reopened at 8 a.m. No one was hurt during the robbery.
