Politicians prepare for their last stops in Pittsburgh; here’s a look at their visits so far

PITTSBURGH — It has been a long journey for politicians on both sides of the aisle but both presidential candidates will spend part of their last day before the election in Pittsburgh.

Vice President Kamala Harris will also visit the area on the same day. Her campaign originally planned for the event to take place at Point State Park but it has since been moved to the historic Carrie Blast Furnaces. There, she will be joined by Katy Perry and other musical performers.

The Trump/Vance campaign has not said if there will be any special guests at the PPG Paints Arena at this time.

Carnegie did receive a guest visit on behalf of the Trump campaign on Saturday though, with Eric Trump stopping by to rally support for his father.

“If we win Pennsylvania we’re going to win the country. If we win Pittsburgh we’re going to win the country,” Eric Trump said. “Early numbers have been great, people have to get out. Obviously, Pennsylvania is going to be razor thin, it always is, but I think there’s a lot of enthusiasm out there.”

The Harris campaign also visited and rallied on Saturday, with Former President Bill Clinton pushing for them in Butler County.

“I’m campaigning for my grandchildren’s future and the future of all of your children and grandchildren and maybe the ones you hope to have someday,” Former President Clinton said.

Both presidential candidates have had busy weekends over the past few weeks.

President Joe Biden was in Pittsburgh with First Lady Jill Biden last Saturday to hold campaign events. The event came a week after Donald Trump attended a Pittsburgh Steelers game at Acrisure Stadium.
