PITTSBURGH — A roof collapse occurred Friday afternoon at a building in Pittsburgh’s North Side.
The collapse was reported just before 2 p.m. at the old LaSalle Electric Supply building on Brighton Place in the city’s California-Kirkbride neighborhood. %

Officials told Channel 11 News that the building had been condemned for at least four years. Despite the roof collapse, the building appeared to be structurally sound and there are no immediate plans for demolition.
Bricks that fell as a result of the collapse stayed on the building’s property. Officials said there is no threat to neighboring properties.
No injuries were reported.
