PITTSBURGH — The 2016 season will be the last year the Pittsburgh Steelers will wear their striped throwback uniforms, NBC Sports and TribLIVE's Mark Kaboly reported.

The 1934 look, which is often referred to by fans as the “bumble bee” uniform, debuted in 2012 as a tribute to the team’s history during its 80th Anniversary season.
The Steelers will wear the throwback uniforms in week 5, as they take on the New York Jets Oct. 9 at Heinz Field.
