PITTSBURGH — A clear sky will make for a very cold start early Thursday, with temperatures dipping into the low-to-mid-teens.
Kids will need the hats, gloves and extra layers to stay warm at the bus stop. A sunshine and a gradual warm-up will follow, with highs back in the low-40s.
A January "thaw" kicks in Friday and continues through the start of the weekend, with highs in the 50s and 60s – possibly nearing record warm levels by Saturday.
Wet weather will also arrive Friday and continue off and on Saturday, so you’ll need the rain gear if you’re planning to take down outdoor Christmas decorations or spend time outdoors.
