St. Barnabas President William V. Day Honored At Ernst & Young

GIBSONIA, Pa.,None — St. Barnabas Health System President and Chief Executive Officer, William V. Day, was honored at the 2011 Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year black tie gala hosted by Jay Leno Saturday evening.

Day received the regional award for the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year Non-Profit category at the annual gala held at the Westin Convention Center in Pittsburgh on June 10, which led him to participate in the national event.

Ernst & Young's awards program recognizes entrepreneurs who demonstrate excellence and extraordinary success in such areas as innovation, financial performance, and personal commitment to their businesses and communities. Ernst & Young had a record 1,891 nominations for this year's awards.

As the world's most prestigious business award for entrepreneurs, it spans more than 140 cities and 50 countries worldwide.

St. Barnabas Health System is Pennsylvania's largest health care concern of its kind. William V. Day's 44 years of leadership, faith and ability to attract and retain an outstanding workforce has resulted in four decades of growth, hundreds of building projects, thousands of lives touched and millions of dollars in free care to the less fortunate.
