McDonald’s celebrating National Egg McMuffin day by giving away free sandwiches

CHICAGO — Still trying to figure out what to have for breakfast?

McDonald’s has declared Monday National Egg McMuffin Day, and it’s giving away free Egg McMuffin sandwiches.

The Egg McMuffin made its debut nearly 50 years ago, so the restaurant chain decided it deserved its own national holiday.

To celebrate, McDonald’s is giving away free Egg McMuffins. Customers will need to download their mobile app to get their free sandwich between 6 a.m. and 10 a.m. at participating restaurants.
