Service restored after reports of Verizon Wireless outage in Pittsburgh

PITTSBURGH — If you’re having trouble using your phone this morning and you’re a Verizon Wireless customer, you are not alone.

Channel 11 is getting several reports of Verizon Wireless service outage across the area from viewers.

Employees at WPXI are also having issues with their Verizon Wireless service.

A spokesperson for Verizon sent the following statement: 'We are aware of on an issue that disrupted wireless service for some customers locally this morning. Our engineers have identified the issue and service is restoring." Shortly after that, the spokesperson said service has been restored.
