Police said Jennifer Sprowls, 41, was traveling southbound on Pittsburgh McKeesport Boulevard when she lost control of her vehicle, striking the guard rail and then hitting the PAT bus.
Sprowls was not wearing a seatbelt, police said, and she was on the phone with a co-worker at the time of the crash.
There were no passengers on the bus, as it was not in service at the time. However, the PAT bus driver also suffered injuries and was transported to the hospital, police said.
Police blocked off the road between Bettis Road and 6th Street.
