East Franklin Township, Pa. — One man was killed after crashing his motorcycle into a truck in Armstrong County.
Kenneth Robert Shaffer, 60, of Butler died when the 2003 Suzuki motorcycle he was operating struck a Ford F350 Stake Bed truck.
The subject was traveling east on US 422 in East Franklin Township, when the Ford truck was coming west and turning left on Glade Run Road.

Shaffer was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash. The Armstrong County coroner explained that he was likely speeding when the crash happened and the cause of death was multiple blunt force traumas.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The investigation will be completed by the Coroner’s office and Pennsylvania State Police – Kittanning.
The Coroner’s office was assisted at the scene by PSP- Kittanning, West Hills Emergency Services, Worthington-West Franklin VFD, West Kittanning VFD, Kittanning 110 and Kittanning Ambulance.
