WILKINSBURG, Pa. — A 27-year-old man is dead after a shooting in Wilkinsburg, according to police.
It happened near the intersection of Ardmore Boulevard and Marlboro Avenue around 11:30 a.m.
Witnesses told police two vehicles were side-by-side when the shooting happened and shots were fired into the victim’s car.
The victim, who was shot in the head, was taken to the hospital where he later died, police said.
According to investigators, the victim’s vehicle then drifted through the intersection and hit a telephone pole.

Our Channel 11 crew at the scene said they saw eight evidence markers on the ground and the windows blown out on a silver car. Lt. Venerando Costa, with Allegheny County Police, said there were possibly eight shots fired, but it’s unclear if they all came from the same gun.
Police said they are looking for a greenish-silver sedan that was seen driving away from the scene with either a temporary or out-of-state plate. The vehicle made a right turn on Marlboro Avenue and drove away.
On Monday, detectives said they found a Nissan Altima that is suspected of being involved in Hawkins Village in Rankin. Police said when they were inspecting the vehicle, they saw 23-year-old Jordan Cobb, who was wanted on probation violations.
Cobb ran away and into an apartment in Hawkins Village, police said. He was then arrested inside the apartment.
He has not been charged in connection to the fatal shooting.
