SLIPPERY ROCK TOWNSHIP, Pa. — A woman was flown to the hospital after she was shot by police Monday in Slippery Rock Township, Lawrence County.
The shooting was reported shortly after 9 a.m. on Copper Road, between Route 422 and Old Princeton Road. From Chopper 11, you could see officers along the rural road.
According to state police, the woman was armed with a gun when they responded to a domestic call. She would not listen to their commands, police said, and their lives were in danger.

“This was an isolated incident and there are no public safety concerns at this time,” a news release said.
Investigators said at least four shots were fired by two troopers. The woman’s injuries were not considered life-threatening.
The troopers involved were placed on administrative leave.
