PLUM, Pa. — One person was hurt during a house fire in Allegheny County.

The fire happened at a home on Pikeview Drive in Plum.

A woman who lives in the home told Channel 11 a space heater could be to blame for the fire.

Deborah Lilac said she was at church when the fire broke out, but one of her sons was using a space heater and left it unattended for just a few minutes.

That's when she said her other son came home and smelled smoke.

"His brother was trying to put out the fire in his room. He left the space heater on. He just came out of the shower, and the room started to catch fire," Lilac said.

One of the sons has some minor burns to his hand and was treated at a hospital.
