PITTSBURGH — One juvenile was shot and killed and another one was rushed to an area hospital after gunfire broke out in Pittsburgh’s Marshall-Shadeland neighborhood on Thursday night.

Police said they responded to a ShotSpotter alert in the 1300 block of Sorrell Street at around 8:10 p.m. When first responders arrived, they found the two male shooting victims. One was pronounced dead at the scene.
This marks the second time in less than a week that a juvenile was shot and killed in the city. A 15-year-old Sophomore student was shot and killed in Lincoln-Lemington on Tuesday night. Donangelo Castaphney was found dead inside the doorway of a home along Olivant Street.
